She was born in Beaumont, Texas on December 12, 1950 and was the daughter of the late James B. and Joy Glazener Moncrief.
Susan was a graduate of Athens High School and Berry College in Rome, Georgia. She retired from E. I. DuPont after 35 years of service. She was very talented in arts and crafts, cooking, sewing, music, listening and was an avid reader. Susan loved the Lord Jesus, loved people and was a friend to many. She was a devoted member of the First Assembly of God in Parkersburg, West Virginia.
She is survived by her husband, David L. Clark; brother, James Moncrief (Karen) of Athens, Georgia; stepson, David R. Clark of Manheim, Pennsylvania; sister-in-law, Alice Johnson of Boaz, West Virginia; niece, Shannon Moncrief of Clane, Ireland; nephew, Lyn Moncrief of Glendale, California; a very special friend, Carrie Brown and numerous cousins in Texas.
In addition to her parents, Susan was preceded in death by two stepsons, William Thomas Clark and Christopher Andrew Clark.
A funeral service was held at the First Assembly of God in Parkersburg, West Virginia on December 12, 2023. There will be a private burial at Oconee Hill Cemetery in Athens, Georgia at a later date.
