A native of Madison County, GA, Mrs. Johnston was the daughter of the late Oscar and Eva Barber Pittman and was preceded in death by her husband, Linton Gordon Johnston Sr; daughter, Gloria, and 10 siblings.
Survivors include daughter, Evalyne Eckles of Green Cove Springs, FL; sons, Darryl Johnston of Nicholson and Linton “Sonny” Johnston of Athens; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to her caregiver, Maria Ramirez Gonzalez.
A graveside service will be held 3PM Sunday, April 1st at Beth Haven Cemetery, Nowhere Rd, Athens. The family will receive friends from 6-8PM Saturday, March 31st at Bernstein Funeral Home.
