A native of Jefferson, NC, Mr. Blevins was the son of the late William Arthur and Annie Lena Johnston Blevins. He served in the United States Navy during WWII and retired from H & R Block. Mr. Blevins was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Perlita Sanchez-Blevins of Athens; son, Fred Gregory Blevins of Asheville, NC; daughters, Carey-Ellen Blevins Walker and husband, John of Charleston, SC and Claire Blevins Sieber and husband, Larry of Summerville, SC; step-daughter, Lizalyn S Lagdamen of Athens; 6 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held 2PM Saturday, September 4th at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev David Hyman officiating. The family will receive friends at the Blevins residence after the service.
