A native of Madison County, Mr. Kidd was a son of the late Ulus and Addie Ann Wall Kidd. He worked in management for Brown Transport Corporation. Mr. Kidd was a member of the Georgia Bulldog Club for over 25 years and also a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He was a veteran of World War II, having fought in the Battle of the Bulge and served as the radio operator in the tank with General George Patton.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Sallie Willoughby Kidd and son-in-law, S. Ray Bass.
Survivors include daughter, Rita K. Bass; sister, Cumi Duncan; a number of nieces and nephews and the staff at Magnolia Estates.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 8 at 2 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Park with Rev. Mike Pritchett officiating.
