So sorry to hear the news of Gail's passing. Rita and I were only at UGA for three short years but Gail was a constant bright spot for me. Gail was an outstanding "assistant" to me as Dean. Keeping me out of trouble and on track was a full time job for her. She loved the School and the University very much. Gail was very much appreciated by Rita and me. We wish her family well. So many Class of 61 have passed but the legacy of a good life is in the family they leave behind. My condolences.

Dear Lebengood Family
I was dismayed to hear of Gail's passing. I began my faculty appointment at Warnell in 2008. Gail was one of the reasons that Warnell is such a great place to work. She was always full of compliments, smiles and good cheer! She took a great interest in me, as a working mother, and all my children as they were born, keeping their photos near her desk. She always helped me with a smile and was a joy to have around. We shared a particular love for baby wild critters and she was truly like a grandmother to many of Warnell's faculty's kids.....I will miss her. Many hugs......Sonia
