Gail Spratlin Paul

Gail Spratlin Paul, age 74, passed away Sunday, November 15, 2020 in Athens Regional Medical Center.

Gail was a native and life-long resident of Athens born to the late Henry Thomas and Gaynell Damron Spratlin and was a 1963 graduate of Athens High School. She was a member of Forest Heights Baptist Church and Pioneers of America. She retired from Southern Bell, with over 30 years of service and was also retired from Athens Regional Medical Center, with over 12 years of service. Gail enjoyed reading and was an avid “weather watcher”.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two brothers, Tommy Spratlin and Gary Spratlin.

Gail is survived by her daughters, Andrea Leigh Beavers and her husband, Kenneth and Amy Patricia (Patty) Gibby and her husband all of Athens; brother, Paul Spratlin of Dawson; sister Patricia Ann Hughes of Athens; grandchildren, Sarah Alice Carter and her husband, Tracy of Nokomis, FL; Kenneth Mark Beavers of Athens; Brittany Leanne Smith and her husband Mitch of Danielsville; and Zachary Ryan Gibby of Athens; and five great grandchildren.

A private memorial service will be held at the family home.

Bernstein Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements.
