Dear Dean family and friends of George:

I did not know George as well as I knew his dad and Wayne. However, I do remember that George was always fun loving and I enjoyed talking with him when I was back in Athens through the years. My thoughts and prayers will be with you all in these most difficult times. "Keep the Faith"

My sincerest condolences to all of the Dean family members during this difficult time. George was a great guy..he always knew everybody by their name and made the extra effort to speak to everyone...he didn't care about your background or where you came from; he spoke to everyone in high school and for that matter just about everyone in Athens GA in the 60's and the 70's.
Some of the best memories of my life were during the time George opened George's Place...It was like going to "Cheers"...where everybody knows your name! He was always happy to see you and greeted you with some type of joke along with that contagious laugh that made you smile and laugh as well!
I know as the years have gone by everyone went their separate ways and all those good times are distant memories...but never the less they are memories etched in our minds that make us all smile. I will look forward to having my first cold beer in heaven at George's Place....where everybody will know my name!
