I have such cherished memories of our medical school years.  Greg helped me get
through those years with grace, humor, and friendship.  

I just checked and saw Greg died in 2020. I was his medical student classmate and he was my best man in our wedding in 1987.  I am very saddened to hear about this. Though, it is over 2.5 years ago, I offer my most sincere condolences.  May his memory be a blessing.

I was deeply saddened upon hearing of Greg's passing, but also greatly comforted by the many memories we made together as partners in medicine and as friends.  He was my "hospitalist  mentor,"  encouraging me to join the ranks way back in 1999 when our group was first founded.   I pray that I can even approach Greg's excellence as a physician, and  carry mindfully his personal examples of kindness, humility, integrity, quiet confidence, and joyful service to his patients.  He loved astronomy, and would often talk with childlike delight about the stars  he could see in the clear night sky from Athens.  We could all see that same brightness in him everyday.   May he rest and shine in peace.  

So sad to hear of Dr. Miller's passing.  I so enjoyed working with him at Gwinnett Medical Center. He always had a smile and kind word for whoever he was speaking with.  Such a genuine person, who will definitely be missed.  Many prayers to the family!

Greg will be greatly missed! I have worked with him since 2006 when I joined GMC. We all looked up to him and often asked his advice  about patient care or things pertaining to our group. He was an excellent and hard-working physician,  with a kind demeanor and a warm smile. Greg was well respected by all staff and colleagues. I was privileged to know and work with him. May the God of all peace comfort his wife and son and carry them through this devastating time.

I’m still in a state of shock over the passing of Dr. Miller.  He was the most approachable and compassionate physician I have ever worked with. We were all saddened to learn he was retiring but at the same time excited about the opportunity for him to spend quality with his family. I will always remember his genuine smile and calming spirit. Each time I think of Dr Miller, I immediately see his bright and refreshing smile. It is etched in my mind. It was delight when he would come to our unit to do a consult. He spent quality time listening to his patients and at the end of their conversation would say “ We will do everything we can to get you back to the things you enjoy the most”  I loved that he took the initiative to share his treatment plan with us (the nurses) face to face  and welcomed questions and feedback! I always knew their was something special about him. He will always be known as a “ Gentle giant of faith in healthcare” Giving and loving! Praying now for the family. As you lean into Jesus , he will hold you .. He will bring you through to the other side of grief. You are loved by an amazing Father in Heaven .. He is close to the broken hearted! 

I was so saddened to learn about Dr. Miller's passing. What an incredibly good guy - a "mensch." Always pleasant, kind and caring - an excellent physician. I worked with Dr Miller since he joined us at GMC as a Respiratory Therapist. I must say it was an honor and a pleasure to work for so many years with Dr Miller. Such a kind and gentle spirit with his patients and the staff. He  was an excellent doctor and always approachable . He always made time for you. He will be missed. 

What can I say about Dr. Miller that hasn't been echoed by everyone else? He was truly a gentle man with a heart of gold. I worked with him for years, never did I see him that he didn't have a smile or kind word. My favorite memory of him is the way his face would light up when I asked him "how's your family?" As wonderful a physician as he was, his family was always more important.  I hope Angela and Gregory can take some comfort in knowing how much his love for you showed! Love and prayers to you all in this time of grief.  

My first day working at GMC was shadowing Greg. I remember meeting him for the first time, his warmth, his kindness, his sincerity, his comforting smile. Having spent the morning with Greg, I was inspired to work as a physician at GMC. After I started he would always give me words of encouragement and positive feedback for which I was very grateful.  A wonderful man and an exceptional physician, he was loved by the physicians and nurses alike. We will miss him dearly. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family at this difficult time. 

My heart is so sad with the passing of Dr. Miller.  I also was happy when he was the hospitalist admitting my patient in the er at GMC. He was always kind and respectful of everyone.  He was never upset or mad no matter how busy he was.

Greg was an incredibly smart physician who really cared about the people on his service.  This world is a much less joyful place without  him.  My deepest condolences to his family. It was indeed a great pleasure to work with Dr. Miller for so many years at GMC. He was such a caring and kind individual who provided excellent care and compassion to all who crossed his path.  I'll never forget the many days he fanned his index cards of patients to go round on with a big smile and a gentle laugh as he left the office and went off to the floors. Dr. Miller was such a calm and kind person and good physician.   I always joked with him,  that when I grow old - I want to be Dr. Miller.  He always inspired me to be more understanding and introspective.   He will be dearly missed.   My heartfelt condolences to Miller family.

The world has lost an amazing person. I worked with him for 19 years. I was a patient care tech but also a student . He made everyone feel like there questions where never dumb. I worked as a Nurse Case Manager at Gwinnett with Doctor Miller for several years. He always had a kind word for the staff and his patients. He was never too busy for anyone - even when he was swamped. This world lost a great man! So sorry for your loss.

I was hanging out in the physicians lounge at Duluth over a year ago chatting with Dr Miller. And he was telling me about how he had reached the age in which he didn’t have to do Nocturnist work and he was really grateful and happy about that Bc it’s so exhausting to bounce back after a week of nights! We had limited interactions, but in those moments I knew he was a kind, tender, loving human being. A contribution to humanity is gone too soon. He deserved to retire and enjoy himself. Sending hugs and love to his family and our hospital family.

Kind of hard to describe someone in few words especially someone like Greg.But again he was such a no fuss, genuinely nice ,smart man so would not expect pompous words .He really was an excellent doctor and patients loved him and  nurses appreciated all the help.And somehow he did it all smiling !I think that what I am going to remember the most: long hours in the office working  and dictating notes he was such a calming and comforting presence for all of us.

I first met Dr. Miller when I was a unit secretary at GMC. I noticed him because he reminded me of my pediatrician I had as a child. I always enjoyed seeing him because he was always so polite to everyone. He showed no difference to the staff regardless of their position. His bedside manner was one many others should emulate. He was caring, compassionate and never in a hurry. He made a point to listen to the patient and calm any concerns they had. The community has lost a great man. 
The entire Miller family is in my prayers.

I served as the Chief Medical Officer at the hospital Dr. Miller worked for for many years.  Dr. Miller was a superb physician who carried himself with calm and dignity and grace.  He was a quiet man who never seemed to be upset or anxious and who inspired trust and understanding amongst his colleagues and patients.  Above all, he was a kind and caring individual who brought light into the world.  His colleagues, his patients, his friends will never forget him.  Although the loss must be unimaginable for his family and loved ones, I hope that they can take comfort in the goodness Greg brought into the world.  He left it a better place. 

Greg was a mentor, a colleague and a very good friend to me and all of us at GMC. I have known him for the last 14 years and he was one of the kindest and most talented physicians that I have ever known. We have lost a great man, wonderful friend and an amazing doctor. I am so saddened to learn of Dr. Miller’s passing. When I say he was one of the kindest souls I’ve ever met...I truly mean it. It always made my day seeing him in the ER when he would come down. I’ve been gone for over 3 years now and have thought of him often. I am praying for his family and friends during this difficult time. His departure will certainly leave a hole in the hearts of so many. 

Dr Miller was so special. He was never in a rush when you needed to talk with him. He always showed patients and staff respect and kindness. I have work with him for many years and he was always the same kind and wonderful doctor. Approximately 1 week before he retired, we was on the elevator and I ask him what would he do after retirement. He said that he would be doing something on the farm.  Glad that he had some time to enjoy the farm. My condolences goes out to his family. RIP

I was honored to work with Greg from the first day he came to GMG. He was one of the kindest physicians I ever have the privilege to work with. He treated everyone the same be it patient, nurse, housekeeper, administrator or physician. We are blessed to have crossed his path in life. My last memory of Greg was running into him at a Athens restaurant this past summer. He and his wife were having lunch and he looked fabulous and was enjoying retirement.  He smiled and was so full of joy. Thinking of your family and keeping them in my prayers. 

Being a nurse of over twenty years, I have to say that Dr. Miller really epitomized the best of what a doctor should be. He was kind, empathetic and highly skilled. I think above that, he was a really great human being.  I know personally, I just felt as ease when he was in my presence.  I miss him as a great doctor, but I miss him more as my friend.  Many prayers for his family.

I only got the chance to know Greg for a few years, being fairly new to GMC.  As a newbie, you always look for a friendly face. That was Greg Miller. When I heard he was retiring, I was so surprised because I just assumed he was younger than he was, always so visibly full of life. We sat next to each other at a retirement Seminar.I thought he was too young to retire.He told me :"I am ready.Will retire in two years.My wife wants me home".And there was that famiar smile.
A man who did not waste words on trivialities.With cuppa coffee in hand and obviously on his way to a patient's room, he never failed to stop and asked how I was in that calm unrushed manner.We shared a brief conversation and went our different ways.Me....suddenly in less of a rush....his calmness did that to me.Him...walking off with purpose and gentle strides and it was so comforting to know " Dr Miller is in the House".Rest in Peace.Will miss you.

Hearing of Dr Millers passing has saddened me so. I still remember a night shift where I had to call the hospitalist for a patient in distress and Dr Miller showed up. I was so relieved to see him....I still remember that night so many years ago. Prayers for his family at this difficult time. He will be missed by many.

Greg was a kind, gentle , sweet man. One of the nicest people I have ever met. Always considerate of others, never angry. Always working hard with a smile. Greg Miller and I have worked many years together. I can’t picture him irate or angry. Every problem I brought to him was solved, gently, thoroughly and to everyones satisfaction.  He was a treasured friend and colleague, and I’ll miss him greatly.

Greg was role model for all of us in the Inpatient Medical Group.  He was genuine, humble, smart, honorable, hard working and kind.   I will always remember his gentle approach yet fierce loyalty to his friends and family.  What a great loss to all who loved him.  Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time.  

He always had a smile and kindness. I loved working with him. He will be missed. 

I was very fortunate to have worked with Dr. Miller. He was truly a friend to everyone that knew him....so saddened by this news....there is no replacing such an excellent physician and a wonderful human being. May God bless and look over his family and all who knew him.

Greg was the first person I met at Southeastern Health/Meridian in 1994. We worked together for 25 years. Everyone I knew respected Greg because he was the smartest guy in the room, didn't say things unless they needed to be said, never introduced his ego into a situation and was organized and efficient. Everybody loved him because he was warm, kind, sympathetic and good natured. Every time you had an interaction with Greg, it was a good one, even if the situation was stressful. The nurses felt that the week was going to be a great one if Greg was covering the floor. You can sum up what Greg meant to us by the fact that he is the only doctor to have a shift (The Miller Shift) permanently named after him (the rest are just numbered). He is the only doc with a special plaque in the ED at a desk he liked to use. He was a great anchor to me and a great moral compass. I'm thankful to have known him and that he had at least one year of retirement to enjoy time with Angela and Gregory, who he loved so much.
