He was born in Peru on October 18, 1935, to the late Hermann Leopold and Rosa Viacava. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Maria Leopold; sons, Billy Leopold (Brandi) and Erich Leopold (Veronica); daughters, Elke Yath (Van) and Karen Godfrey (Tony); brother, Hermann Leopold (Elsa), and nine grandchildren: Adrian, Mackenzie, Nicholas, Matthew, Alex, Victoria, Nicholas, Catherine, and Todd.
Guillermo earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Universidad Nacional Mayor De San Marcos in Lima, Peru. He devoted many years of his career to serving others at Hospital San Juan de Marcona, where he met his beloved wife, Maria. Beyond his commitment to healthcare, Guillermo's passion for golf was undeniable. Those who knew him well understood his deep affection for the sport. He found joy in spending his free time hitting golf balls in his backyard.
Guillermo's love for golf was only matched by the love he shared with his family. Though he is no longer with us, his memory will live on, carried by the affection of those lives he touched.
