A native of Pickens Co, GA, Mr. Stone was the son of the late Harrison B. Stone Sr and Donie Brooks Stone and was preceded in death by his wife, Nera Mae West Stone. He retired from the GA Department of Transportation and was a member of Damascus Baptist Church in Fairmount, GA.
Survivors include daughters, Martha Whitley and husband, John of Madison, GA, Susan Toler and husband, Larry of Greshamville, GA, and Lynn Scholl and husband, Robert of Lakemont, GA; sister, Lowella Stone of Jasper, GA; 9 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held 11AM, Saturday, June 29th at the Whitley’s residence, 1360 Shockley Rd, Madison, GA 30650.
