Born in Oconee County, Mr. Janes was retired from Westinghouse. He was preceded in death by brothers: Meigs Janes, Walter Janes and Tommy Janes; sisters, Gladys Mae Janes, Margie Sosby; and stepson, Jerry Willoughby.
Survivors include stepchildren: Joe Willoughby, Gerald Willoughby, Billy Willoughby, Ralph Willoughby and Martha Willoughby; brother, Charles Janes; and sister, Ida Bell Mooney.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 31, at 11:00 a.m., in the Bernstein Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Oconee County.
The family will receive friends Sunday, March 30, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Bernstein Funeral Home.
