A native of Polk County, GA, Mr. Thomas was the son of the late John and Lulu Mae Wright Thomas. He served in the United States Army with the 45th Infantry Division during World War II and was a retired machinist from Caterpillar.
Survivors include wife, Shirley Ann Perry Thomas of Athens; son, Michael Thomas and wife, Denise of Rehoboth, MA; daughters, Marsha Kobrin and husband, Neil of Mill Valley, CA and Michelle Thomas of Athens, GA; 5 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends to celebrate Mr. Thomas’ life 10AM Friday, March 7th in the chapel at Bernstein Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
