Jada Lynn Fiorentino

Jada Lynn Fiorentino, 54, of Bogart, Georgia, was born April 20, 1972, in Duluth, Georgia, and died June 25, 2026. In a life defined by a generous spirit and a steady, compassionate presence, Jada gave herself freely offering care, dignity, and hope to family, friends, and to countless people who came to know her through her work and her community.

Jada acquired many certifications including CARES-certified addiction recovery empowerment specialist; CPS-AD-certified peer specialist-addictive diseases; MRT-Moral Reconation Therapy Facilitator; SOAR- Science of Addiction and Recovery Trainer; CPR and First Aid Certified; Overdose Prevention Educator; and Theophostic Prayer Ministry Certified. Her commitment to women’s recovery spanned more than a decade and culminated in New Life House of Hope, where she graduated herself and later went on to operate. New Life House of Hope is certified through the Georgia Association of Recovery Residences and is a member of the Chamber of Commerce. Through this work, Jada became a pillar of the Athens community—an enduring advocate for those under her care, and an irrepressible force of good and light.

As a mother, grandmother, and friend, Jada’s tenderness was unmistakable. She met people without judgment, listened with patience, and offered help in ways both practical and deeply personal—often making others feel seen, safe, and valued. Forgiveness came naturally to her, and her kindness extended beyond people to the animals she rescued and cared for throughout the places she lived and worked. She doted on her grandchild, Odin, most of all, especially fond of time with him—happy to take his direction for playtime from fishing, swordfights and Legos to traveling and field trips.

She rescued over a dozen cats and loved them all near obsession, and held “class” for them with cat treats.

Jada also delighted in the world’s wonder and beauty. She was adventurous and loved to travel, never one to turn down a new experience—she would “try anything twice.” She visited beaches from the Carolinas to Hawaii multiple times a year and loved to camp as well. She found joy in butterflies, the color purple, mushrooms, axolotls, the peaceful sound of the ocean, warm beach days, boat rides, and the beauty of Hawaii. At night, she enjoyed watching sci-fi videos on YouTube, curious about the mysteries of the universe and ready to wonder what might be out there. Her friendships were lifelong treasures, and those she met through her businesses often became genuine, lasting friends—an extended community held together by her warmth and care.

She is survived by four children and one grandchild, with two more set to arrive this year: Taylor Brooke Argo and Odin Argo of Bowman, Georgia; Christopher Blake Sheppard of Greensboro, Georgia; Brendan Stephen Tansky of Athens, Georgia; and Amber Grace Moser of Atlanta, Georgia. Special mention is made of her upcoming grandchildren, Atlas Lynn Argo, and Khaiomi Amina Casteel—who she prayed for and would have been everything to. May her spiritual presence bring them strength, protection, and comfort as they navigate this world without her.

She is also survived by her former husband, Charles Matthew Sheppard, and was preceded in death by her former husband, Barth Alan Moser.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held at Bernstein Funeral Home, 3195 Atlanta Highway, Athens, Georgia 30606, on Sunday, July 5, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. A Memorial Service will follow in the Bernstein Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 pm.

Some people pass through this world, and some leave it brighter than they find it. Jada was one of those rare souls—a radiant light whose compassion and love touched everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy will live on in the lives she changed, in the family she cherished, and in the everyday acts of kindness that will continue because she showed so many what care, mercy, and steadfast support truly look like. Every butterfly that dances on the breeze, every wave that reaches the shore, every purple sunset, and every act of kindness will remember her.
