

Jim was born March 2, 1939, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was the son of the late Leland E. Blose and Mary Elizabeth Morgan Blose.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his twin brother, Thomas Lee Blose.
Jim enjoyed his career in manufacturing inventory management taking him all over the world. After retiring from Emerson Electric, he became a full-time football official coordinator for UGA. His love for the university, and in particular the football program, was best described in the championship this year.
He was also an active member of The Georgia Club, USGA and NEGOA. Jim had many life experiences including tennis, motorcycling, flying airplanes, football and golf officiating, coaching, mentoring, golfed in all fifty states, golf club making, and traveling the world. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
Survivors include his loving wife, Marie Blose; children, James Gilbert Blose (Sara) and Janet Lee Martinez (Dan); brother, Robert Morgan Blose (Dana); 6 grandchildren, James Lee Blose, II., Christina Marie Hawes, Jason Norman Blose, Cynthia Joan Hinson, Katherine Marie Gillespie and Jeffrey Dylan Gillespie; 20 great-grandchildren with one on the way.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be held Saturday, February 12, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at the Blose residence.
