Born May 15, 1996 in Athens, Quinton was quiet and reserved but had a sense of humor and could make everybody laugh around him. He was a deep thinker and had a big heart. He was a well established writer for the Odyssey, a newspaper of Clarke Central High School. Quinton loved his family. He was a manager at Franklin's Gun Shop and was loved and respected by his employees.
Quinton was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, James Quinton Lumpkin, III.
Survivors include his mother, Paige Klein and her fiance Ty Cummings of Lexington; his father, James Quinton Lumpkin, IV. of Athens; two sisters, Alexandra Houck (Jack) of Roswell and MaryKatherine Cummings of Lexington; grandmother, Sandra Lumpkin of Athens; grandparents, Allen and Harolda Klein of Cleveland and Gary and Lari Webster of Sugar Hill; a host of loving aunts, uncles and cousins and his work crew at the Franklin's Gun Shop
A celebration of Quinton's life will be 2 p.m. Thursday, December 20 at the chapel of Bernstein Funeral Home with Rev. Betsy Butler officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
