A native of Clarke County, GA, Mr. Summers was the son of the late James B. Summers Sr and Maggie McClain Summers. He was a self-employed landscaper and a member of Harvest Time Church.
Survivors include sons, Gary Summers and wife, Emily Ricketts of Winder and Christopher Summers and wife, Tina of Chattanooga, TN; daughters, Christina Williams and husband, Brandon of Madison and Amelia Summers of Madison; brother, Jimmy Summers and wife, Beth of Watkinsville; sister, Barbara Inman of Augusta, and 9 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
