A native of Winburn, Pennsylvania, she found her way to Athens through her marriage to Clayton Eugene Crouch. Jan was a great wife, mother, and nurse. She dedicated her life to her passions: her sons and their activities, her daughters-in-law, her grandchildren, and her work. She was a Registered Nurse for 52 years and finished her lifetime of service building the Nurse Residency Unit at Piedmont Athens Regional.
She was a dedicated and hard working mother, nurse, and grandmother. She was always the first to arrive when life brought good times, hard times, or work to be done. She will be remembered for her wry sense of humor, relentless work ethic, and unending love and generosity.
She is survived by her husband, Gene; four sons: David, Patrick, Tommy, and William; four daughters-in-law: Nariman, Leslie, Gina, and MaryKate: and eight grandchildren: Jack, Zachary, Russell, Julia, Charlie Kate, Michael, Annaleigh, and Benton. She will be missed but will live in our hearts and with the Lord.
Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, August 12, 2024, at Evergreen Memorial Park, 3655 Atlanta Highway, Athens, Georgia 30606.
Bernstein Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
