Jason,
You were my friend first and always, and then you and I went further and you were my boyfriend for 4 years..... you welcomed me into your family and made me feel like family..... your family and kids were a part of me..... you loved my boys and for that I am grateful. Without you in my life, I would have not gotten to experience many of the things we did.... my love for music grew because of you.... my love for outdoors grew because of you.... lots of fond memories I will cherish were made with you or you and your family. Steve, Hayley, Cody, Lily, and Matthew, thank you for making my life better thru you and Jason. My heart is broken but I know you are up above fishing and happy..... and I know you are in no more pain. I will always love you..... Rebecca

Jason,
You were a very important part of my life for quite some time. You were My husband and my best friend. I know things never played out the way we had hoped but you Gave me a family and the chance to be a part of 3 beautiful children’s lives and I always be thankful for that and the love we shared at one time. I hope that you are at peace and experiencing a beautiful part of heaven. Though we had our hard times all I will ever have for you is pure love. I want to send my sincere condolences and all my love and blessings to the Helms family. Steve, Hayley and children you are in my prayers.
With deepest sympathy,
Bryanna Britt

I got the terrible news via Brianna yesterday before work. Tough day to say the least. I will always remember you as a kind person that never failed to bring a smile to me and my family's faces. You and I were working construction in the dead middle of Charleston summer...BRUTAL! I remember when we first met at Panic New Year and our impromptu Gov't Mule trip in January. Hanging with your kids at the drumcircle. So many memories in such a short time. God speed old friend. You aren't forgotten. Bless your family. Matty Minshew

Oh where do I start?! Jason... u drove me crazy as a step brother but u also brought my crushes over. I have never forgotten u or ur family as our own families have developed. I know ur mom, dad, and Hayley are lost without u. I have never seen a sister look so much up to her brother. You Jason, could do no harm and everyone that u graced ur presence with will never forget ur gentle kind soul. U were very much like ur dad in that way. I love you Jason Helms! Thanks for being such a great person in my life. Tell Marshall I said hey😘

I met Jason when he was a young boy. He was friends with Ben and Maggie. Our hearts go out to the family. Praying for comfort.
