Born in Milton, Florida, Jewel was the beloved daughter of the late Lee and Sylvia Henson Burns. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Ralph Burns.
Jewel’s life was one of love, family, faith, and laughter.
Jewel had a joyful spirit and a heart for the simple pleasures of life. She loved her church, 1025 Church in Statham, and found happiness in reading, shopping, traveling to new places, and watching movies. She treasured moments spent with her family, friends and her faithful little companion, Sir Snoopy, who rarely left her side.
Above all, Jewel will be remembered for her devotion to her family and friends, her strength of character, and the warmth she extended to everyone around her.
Funeral services to honor her life will be held Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., in the Bernstein Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Jo Jo Leach officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
