John Roy Crawford

John (Johnny) Roy Crawford, age 81, of Statham, GA passed away on Friday, June 13, 2025. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joy Louise Crawford; son, Glenn Alan Crawford; parents, John William and Mary Virginia Faught Crawford. Mr. Crawford is survived by his daughter, Brenda Roberts; daughter-in-law, Kim Crawford; six grandchildren, Nick, Kourtney, Justin, Christian, Nicole, Dalton; six great-grandchildren, Kiley, Olivia, Cayden, Hudson, Hunter, Brynlee; sister, Carolyn Morgan. He was born on January 1, 1944, in Memphis, Tennessee and was a graduate of Overton High School in Memphis, TN. He then joined the military for four years. Mr. Crawford was an air policeman for the US Air Force. He was a construction mechanic, a salesman for construction equipment, insurance and medical supplies of his lifetime of working.

He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Statham. John was a true man of God and loved the Lord and his family with all of his heart. John always had the biggest smile on his face and no matter what John was going through, he was more worried about checking in on others. John and Joy were truly blessed with 61 years of marriage that served as an inspiration to all through the example that they have set in their relationship, their raising of their children and grandchildren and their love of our Lord. Once he was saved in 1973, his mission in life was to spread Gods love and word to everyone; from creating his own business cards and tracts to hand to anyone he could. John was a full light to others in the way he carried himself in his daily walk.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 12, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in Statham, GA.
