A native of Madison County, GA, Mr. Booth was the son of the late Irene Therkle. He served in the United States Army for two years during the Korean Conflict and retired from General Times where he was in charge of setting up the machinery. Mr. Booth was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include niece, Sylvia McNabb and her husband, Reed of Nicholson; nephew, Jerry Shelnutt and his wife, Lizabeth of High Shoals; special friend, JoAnn Dickerson of Hull, and a number of great nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held 2PM Saturday, September 4th at Evergreen Memorial Park with Rev David Harbin officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8PM Friday, September 3rd at Bernstein.
