A life-long Athenian, Ms. Williams was the daughter of the late Bill and Ruth Bond Moon of Madison County and was preceded in death by a son, Nathan Williams III of Athens and a sister, Patricia Dahlberg of Ormond Beach, FL.
Ms. Williams graduated from Athens High School in 1949 and retired from the University of Georgia Athletic Association in 2003. She helped start Hope Haven of NE Georgia.
Survivors include sons, Dave Williams of Athens and Joe Williams and wife, Christina of Athens and nephew, Chuck Marcus of Ormond Beach, FL.
Graveside services will be held 10AM Friday, July 27th at Evergreen Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hope Haven, 795 Newton Bridge Rd, Athens, GA 30607.
