

The son of Lester Raymond and Margaret “Pat” Ellen (Acton) Pilon. He was preceded in death by his parents, beloved sister Shannon Marie (Pilon) McNeeley, brother Mitchell Joseph Pilon and step-daughter Lisa Renee Leasure. Left to cherish his memories wife Sharon (Kern) Pilon and daughter Michelle Rae Pilon, grandson Lennox Valentine Gunn, step-son John Ignat, grandchildren Amber, Madison and Joseph Ignat.
Kevin is survived by siblings Brian Michael Pilon of Pennsylvania, Mark (Tina) Pilon of California, Eileen Bromley (Pilon) of North Carolina, Pegeen (Pilon) (Henry) Wienhold of Ohio. A host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. Now late brother Sean Dalton Pilon (Christina) of Maryland.
Kevin’s childhood hometown is Thompson, Ohio. Kevin attended Cedar Shoals High School until 1972 in Athens, Georgia. He continued his education at Athens Area Technical School; Athens, Georgia; Data Processing; 1972; Certificate of Completion. Kevin graduated Cum Laude from Commonwealth College; 1977; Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Norfolk, Virginia. Kevin began his career in Television Broadcasting in the late 1970’s at WAVY-TV Virtual Channel 10, Norfolk, Virginia as a News Cameraman. In 2002 Kevin, relocated to St. George, Utah and joined New Horizon’s Finance as the company’s thriving force as Finance Director. Kevin’s career track also ran the gamut of Director of Sales in turn Mastering the Art of Negotiation.
In 2017 Kevin relocated to Galveston, Texas where he proudly served as former Dispatcher at the Galveston Police Department. Kevin and his wife moved to Galveston to retire and resided there until his death.
Kevin had a great appreciation for sports, he was a star athlete both in baseball and football, known Pool Shark and avid Poker Player. He was a faithful Cleveland Browns fan until he took his last breath. Kevin had an angelic voice and sang along-side his brothers in a band at their parents’ Nightclub. He had a passion for sharing his conservative beliefs with others, talent in photography, an eye for design, interest in music and arts. Kevin’s favorite pastimes were golf, cooking, watching TV in his recliner, reading, the outdoors; his deepest joy was time with family including long and frequent discussions with his daughter Michelle Rae. Kevin had a deep love for the Word of God, enjoyed teaching and sharing the Gospel with world. Kevin was a mighty man of valor, great intellect, both articulate and eloquent speaker, penmanship like no other, very patient, kind-hearted and always gave freely, above all forgiveness.
Kevin suddenly gained his wings and crowned with glory as he departed this earthly life on Thursday, February 25, 2021. He ascended to his new Heavenly Home to be with a host of other relatives and friends in the Kingdom of God.
Kevin has been awarded the Lion’s Gift of Sight “Donor Hero” by -SW Transplant Alliance for his selfless contribution. Now both his vision and legacy lives on.
