The world lost the best mother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend anyone could ask for. She was an avid flower lover who volunteered her time and talents to those she cared for. Kula was also known for her handmade Christmas cards, which family members and friends looked forward to each year. To say Kula was a wonderful person would be an understatement. Loyal, honest, caring, kind, smart, strong, and generous, Kula lived her life well. She will be missed each and every day.
Kula was a long time resident of Athens where she lived since leaving her childhood home in Atlanta upon graduating from Druid Hills High School in 1970. A graduate from the University of Georgia in 1974 Kula then went on to work for the government at the USDA-FSA in the administrative division for almost 40 years, her wonderful co-workers never did believe she would retire.
Kula was preceded in death by her parents William and Julia Campbell, and brother Costa Campbell.
Kula is survived by her daughter Julia Moore Ashworth (Jay); brothers Leon Campbell (Helen); and Basil Campbell (Sky); niece Angela Campbell (Robert Joiner) & great niece Serena Joiner, and nephew Demetry Campbell; as well as many family members and special friends.
