Linda was a native and life-long resident of Gainesville, GA, before moving to Athens three months ago. She was a graduate of East Hall High School and was of the Baptist faith.
Linda is survived by her husband, Michael Ward of Athens; children, Lisa Fortner and her husband, Milton of Athens, Franklin Free and his wife, Regina of Lula and Kristi Wheeler of Gainesville; sister, Donna Duvall of Gainesville; seven grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Ward will be held privately.
