Mr. Knott was the son of the late William M. Knott and Allie Mae Gordon Knott and was preceded in death by son, Terry M. Knott and wife, Sara Evelyn Knott. He was also predeceased by brothers, Henry, Odell and Thomas.
Mr. Knott was a World War II veteran and the recipient of a Purple Heart.
Survivors include caregiver and devoted nephew, R.A. (Butch) Hilley and multiple other nieces and nephews from all the brothers.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, December 21 at 2 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Bernstein Funeral Home from 1-2 p.m., prior to the service.
