Mrs. Lichtenbarger was born April 18, 1920 in Kansas, a daughter of the late Erasmus and Nora Garner. Mrs. Lichtenbarger ws the widow of Neal Lichtenbarger and was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Al and Paul Garner. She proudly served 20 years as a Navy nurse with the rank of Lt. Commander USN, retired. Mrs. Lichtenbarger was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Athens.
She is survived by step-daugher, Karen L Robinson and husband, Randy of Milwaukie, Oregon; step-son, Carl Lichtenbarger of Key West, Florida; niece, Pat Fletcher and husband, John, and other nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 3PM Sunday October 24th at Trinity Baptist Church, 144 Jennings Mill Road, Athens, GA with Rev Jim Phillips and Rev Cecil Holcombe officiating. Entombent will be at Evergreen Memorial Park in Athens. Honored as pallbearers will be Charles Browing, David Coker, Alfred Roberts, Larry Roberts, Gordon Waters, and Nelson Wilbanks. Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to the funeral.
