Joyce, a loving mother and grandmother, was known above all for her generous and caring nature. She is lovingly remembered by her two daughters, Tammy McGarity (Tim McGarity) and Tonya Simmons (Rex Simmons), her granddaughters, Miranda McGarity, Tristan Hancock (Connor Hancock), Katelyn Simmons, and Brookelyn Simmons (Joey Bourgeois). She truly embodied the Joy for which she was named and will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives she touched.
In accordance with Joyce’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Those who wish to honor her memory are invited to make a donation to a cancer research organization or their local Humane Society in her name.
