Mary and I worked were professional colleagues in the early middle school education movement. We became neighbors when I moved to Athens and joined Mary on the UGA College of Education faculty. I am sorry to hear of her passing and pray for her repose in that place of green pasture where there is no sorrow or suffering.

Mary touched every body's heart she meet. I will miss her deeply. Her sense of humor was the best and she was never at a loss for something witty to say. My heart is a little broken with a piece missing now.
