Born and raised in Madison County, Mr. Haley was a son of the late Thurman and Arlene Haley. He was a retired millworker with Georgia Pacific and a veteran of the United States Air Force.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Haley was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Jean Maxey Haley; and brother, Gilbert Haley.
Survivors include children, Shannon Haley (Amy) and Maria Haley; brothers, William Haley and Charles Haley; five grandchildren, Emily Larkins (Ben), Blake Haley, Andrew Haley, Abbi Haley and Matthew Haley; and one great-granddaughter, Lily Larkins.
A graveside service will be held Sunday, February 6, at 2:30 p.m., at Evergreen Memorial Park, with Rev. Dave Smith officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m., prior to the service, at Bernstein Funeral Home.
