A native of Franklin County, Georgia, Mrs. Guest was the daughter of the late Thurman and Ruby Kelley Hill and was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Guest and sister, Frances Hill Busha. A longtime resident of Athens, she and Herbert, for many years, owned and operated The Open House Restaurant and also Your Cab Company.
Survivors include her devoted son, Thurman Andrew Pearson and wife, Lynda Grimes Pearson of Athens; grandson, Thurman Andrew (TAP) Pearson Jr and wife, Melanie Nicole Pearson, and two great-grandchildren, Collie Andrew Pearson and Melanie Copeland Pearson.
Funeral services will be held 2PM Friday, August 9th in the chapel at Bernstein Funeral Home with Rev Jim Stuchell officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8PM Thursday, August 8th at Bernstein.
