She was the daughter of the late James Dorsey and Vera Adams Whitworth.
Nelda retired from St. Mary’s Hospital where she was the payroll manager for many years. She loved spending time with her family and will be dearly missed.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Sharon Whitworth.
Survivors include her daughter, Jennifer Lori Watson; Nelda’s significant other, Mark Phillips; two granddaughters, Emilee Madison Clark and her wife, Destiny, and Jenna Ava Watson.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Nelda will be 3 p.m., Friday, July 28, 2023, in the chapel of Bernstein Funeral Home with Pastor Dave Smith officiating.
