

A native of Madison County, GA Mrs. Haggard was the daughter of the late Edgar Eugene Dillard and Susie Pauline Williams Dillard and was preceded in death by her husband, Philip Haggard. She retired from the University of Georgia Cooperative Extension Service after 30 years. She was a long time member of the Classic City Pilot Club, served as a volunteer at ARMC, was a member of Forest Heights Baptist Church, Road Runners Club and was an avid bridge player with her longtime friends.
Survivors include sons, H. Patrick Haggard and wife, Beth and Perry Hugh Haggard; daughter, Phyllis Haggard Curlee and husband, Lane of Savannah, GA; grandchildren, Emily Haggard Peacock and husband, Scott, Evan Haggard, Clark Haggard, Cameron Curlee, Lane Curlee, IV; mother-in-law, Mary Edith Haggard; sister, Sue Dempsey; sister-in-law, Joyce Dillard, and a number of nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Loran Smith Center for Cancer Support, 240 Talmadge Drive, Athens, GA 30606.
Funeral services will be held 2PM Sunday, January 31st in the chapel at Bernstein Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1PM-2PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
