Ola Jackie Webb was more than my patient at Gracewood. She was a joy and an angel in my life. Many people did not know this, but Ola was the sweetest individual at Gracewood and my favorite. I talked to Ola every day that I worked and loved her so much. Although I never understood what she was saying, I know that she knew that I loved her so much. She would always give the nurses kisses as she puckered her lips to the air at us. I would often hold my face up to hers and ask for a kiss on the cheek. She gave me one of these the last days I saw her healthy. On that Monday, August 27th, I gave her a kiss on her cheek and she gave me one back and I told her I would see her soon. Little did I know that when I would come back to work on Wednesday that she would have been in the hospital and that the kiss I received that Monday was the last one she would give me. I was with Ola throughout the week and was at Gracewood the day she would pass away. Although this was painful, I am so glad I got the chance to day goodbye to my dear friend Ola. I know that there will never be another individual at Gracewood that captures my heart like she did and I miss her every day. Thank you for allowing myself and the other staff at Gracewood the priviledge of knowing and taking care of this beautiful angel.

We never met Jackie but knew her through her Webb family, particularly John & Nancy and Charles & Patsy Webb.  Jackie experienced much love in her life although she was severely challenged in her physical life.
