

Pansy was the first child born to Farrie Garrison Batchelor and Royce Howard Batchelor on January 19, 1936, in Walton County. Pansy spent her childhood there, along with her younger sister, Sandra.
Pansy, always known for her kindness and warm heart, devoted her life to being a homemaker and mother. Very active in her community, she gave her time and resources to her local church, St. Anna’s Catholic Church in Monroe, and her local chapter, the Reverend John Andrew Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR), along with anyone else she found in need.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Thurman Butler, as well as two sons, Jeffrey Butler and Gregory Butler.
She is survived by her sister, Sandra (Faye) Hinshaw (née Batchelor) of Gainesville; a cousin, J.E. Garrison of Monroe; a daughter, Connie Butler, of Mount Laurel, NJ; a daughter-in-law, Denise Laird of Bishop; along with her granddaughter, Kimberly Butler of Bishop; and grandson, Jonathan Christie (Brian Casey) of Mount Laurel, NJ.
A private service for family only will be held, and in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Oconee County Animal Services, 1171 Branch Road, Bishop, GA 30621.
