Born in Atlanta, Mr. Farren was a son of the late Richard DeLoach Farren Sr. and Lucille LaCount Farren. He was retired from the Centers for Disease Control where he worked as a programmer. Mr. Farren enjoyed woodworking, working on old cars and loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jane Stribling Farren and daughter, Jane Elizabeth Farren Bruce.
Survivors include daughter, Susan Lynn Farren Brown (Tim); brother, Bill Farren; sisters, Ann Adams and Becky Farren; grandchildren, Rebecca Gonzalez, Joshua Brown and Jackson Brown; great-grandchildren, Tyra, MaKayla, Kaiden, Selena, Joscelyn and Dominic.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 8, at 2:00 p.m., at the Bernstein Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park.
