On May 18, 1966, Newt Carter was born with an almost immediate love of sounds, words, and music. His life was all too short, yet filled with the celebration of those around him. Poetry fed his soul and he translated lyrics through his guitars, many guitars. When pain and disappointment crowded in, he never complained. He just continued to find ways to celebrate through others and their music. He is survived by family and friends. His mother, Sylvia Hutchinson, his father and step-mother, Bob and Mona Carter, his sons Holden, Jacob, and Max Carter, his brother, sister-in-law, and nephew, Seth, Mary Dorian and Brady Hutchinson, his uncle and aunt, Mike and Diane McCoy, his cousins and a host of friends will revel in memories and miss his intelligent humor, his many talents.
A celebration of Newt's life will be held at Nuci's Space on Sunday, August 9, at 1:00. Rather than flowers, please make a contribution to Nuci's Space so that others may celebrate life through their music.
