It is with great sadness and extremely heavy hearts that our family announces the passing of Robert “Bob” White. He passed peacefully into the arms of his Heavenly Father on October 22, 2026, with his wife and love of his life, Pam, and his sister-in-law Kathy by his side.
Bob was born in LaFayette, Georgia, on November 30, 1963. He spent some of his childhood in St. Croix and North Carolina. His family relocated to Bishop, Georgia, when Bob was in the seventh grade. He graduated from Oconee County High School in 1982.
Bob became a career truck driver soon after graduating and drove for 38 years. For several years, he specialized in moving and setting up mobile homes. In early 2001, he changed his specialty to long-haul trucking, which he continued until 2021, when he became a local driver. Big trucks were his thing!
He retired from the logistics industry in 2023 due to health reasons, which placed him in the full-time roles of domestic engineer, lawn and pet care provider, and motivational speaker to all who knew him. He loved to read, watch all the news channels, hang out with his friends, and ride his Harley, “Pearl,” whenever he was able.
Bob was preceded in death by his loving mother, Sylvia Arnold White, as well as too many family members and friends to list.
He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Pamela White; his stepdaughter, Whitney Montgomery, and her husband, Brad; his stepson, Ryan Callaway; and his two granddaughters, Eddalena and Willow. He is also survived by his best friend and brother, Keith Savage; his sister-in-law, Kathy Savage; his brother-in-law, Johnny Cronic; his sister-in-law, Charlene; his in-law parents, Gerald and Juanita Cronic and Charlotte Haile; his brother, Richard White (Joan); and his adoptive father, Frank White.
Bob also had an extended family of brothers from other mothers, along with extended children and grandchildren, including Ron Faust (Melissa), Chuck Quarles, Randy Mallory (Joanne), Tony Eason, Mark Mann, and Mike Savage. His extended children include Phillip Maxwell (Katy), Josh Waters (Aubrey), and Hugo Velasquez, along with several grandchildren.
Bob was loved by so many. He will be remembered for his matter-of-fact nature, his laughter, his silliness, and the inspiration he provided to all who knew and loved him, both young and old. He will be sorely missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, to be announced.
Bernstein Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
