
Born in Athens, GA January 4, 1944, he resided there until his battle with renal cell cancer brought him to Macon. He inspired many with his humor, gentle spirit, and the graceful acceptance of his journey. The owner of Westside Appraisal Services, he was actively involved in community services through his love for Ham Radio.
Son of the late Vivian “Bib” Crowder and William Hoyt “Red” Couch, he is preceded in death by his son, Michael.
Survived by his wife, Judy of Macon; daughter, Rhonda (Daniel) Heath of Douglas; former wife, Sandra of Calhoun; step-sons, Geoffrey (Linda) Dyer of Bonaire, Gregory (Jenna) Dyer of Athens; brother, Rodney (Becky) Couch of Athens, and his beloved grandchildren, Victoria “Tori” Lee of Calhoun, Calvin Lee and Alexander Michael Dyer of Bonaire, Layne Thomas Dyer of Athens, and Christopher Michael Heath of Douglas.
He will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, and many friends.
