

A native and lifelong resident of Watkinsville, Scott was the son of the late Frank A. and Annie Christopher Almand. He owned and operated Classic City Floor Covering and attended Antioch Christian Church.
In addition to his parents, Scott was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Elder Almand; brother, John Paul “Bunt” Almand; and his sister-in-law, Mary Ann Hayes Elder.
Survivors include nieces and a nephew: Angie Elder-Johnson and Chuck Johnson, Mendy and Tim Meyer and Robert and Jennifer Elder, all of Watkinsville; brother-in-law, Doyle Elder of Watkinsville; great-nieces and great-nephews: Jacqueline and Jonathan Henderson of Jesup, Andrew and Peyton Elder of Cumming, Bryce and Jenna Watson of Winterville and Hannah and Jonathan Kizziah of Watkinsville, Sarah and Sophie Meyer of Watkinsville and Cody and Wyatt Elder and Oakley Kizziah all of Watkinsville.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, June 29, at Bernstein Funeral Home.
Burial will be held privately in Willoughby Cemetery.
The family expresses its appreciation to Compassus Hospice, and his caregivers, Regina Dalton, Sherry Coleman, Patrena Woods, Jill Banyai and Jasmine Dalton for the loving care they provided to Scott.
