Rylee Matthew Dowdy

Rylee was born in Athens, lived in Danielsville and attended Madison County Middle School, where he enjoyed History and Social Studies. He was a member of Clarke County Church of Christ and was an avid gamer and liked watching YouTube.

His brother, Keion Dowdy and his maternal grandmother, Penelope Stinson, preceded Rylee in death.

Rylee is survived by his mother, Erica Dowdy of Danielsville; father, Reginald Dowdy of Madison County; sisters, Haley Garcia of Athens; Ally Taylor of Danielsville and brother, Dominic Dowdy of Danielsville; maternal grandfather, Rogelio Duran of Florida; paternal grandparents, Dedrick and Joyce Dowdy of Madison County; paternal great-grandmother, Laura Matthews of Elberton; aunt, Marisol Duran of Morgan County; uncles, Daniel Duran (Samantha) of Oconee County; Rogelio Duran, Jr. (Lisa) of Florida; Rodney Dowdy (Rhonda) of Valdosta and Rodrick Dowdy (Jeanette) of Winder; great-aunt, Teresa Martin of Kuwait; as well as many cousins and other relatives.

A gathering of family and friends will be held 6:00 to 7:30 PM, Thursday, September 5, 2024, in Bernstein Funeral Home.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, September 6, 2024, in Clarke County Church of Christ with Brother Dedrick Dowdy officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House.
