Sandy Lynn Edwards, 60, of Hull, passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2026. Born December 22, 1965, Sandy was a native of San Bernardino, California, and the daughter of the late Samuel Fisk and Linda Meteer Williams.
Sandy worked in Human Resources for Royston LLC in Royston, where she brought a steady sense of responsibility and care to her work and to those around her.
Away from the demands of the day, Sandy found joy in the simple freedoms of being outdoors—especially swimming and riding motorcycles—pursuits that suited her independent spirit and love of open air and open roads. She was huge fan of the Georgia Bulldogs.
Sandy will be remembered for the depth of her heart and the fierce sincerity with which she met life. She could be quick-tempered, yet there was no mistaking the devotion beneath it—most especially in the love she gave as a mother and in the pride and tenderness she held for her grandchildren, whom she truly adored.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Michael D. Edwards; and her stepson, Russ. She is survived by her children, Jyme Noble of Hull and Justin Noble of Lavonia; her brothers, Terry Williams of Missouri, Rodney Imbriani (Pamela), Jeffrey Imbriani (Kelli) and Sam Fisk II (Kristina), all of California; her sisters, Stacey Smiley of Missouri and Shelly Willard (Michael) of Georgia; her special friend, Carla Robb of Missouri; her grandchildren, Colton Noble and Ethan Noble; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Sandy’s Life will be held Wednesday, September 9, at 11:00 a.m., in the Banquet Room of the Homewood Suites, 750 E. Broad Street, Athens.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to a charity of choice.
Bernstein Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
