Sharon is survived by her devoted husband, best friend and soulmate Durwood Cuff, her children, Melanie Cuff, Melissa Cuff and Sean Cuff, as well as her grandchildren whom she doted on, Ian Cuff (Melanie), Sophia Arrais, Lauren Arrais and Jordan Arrais (Melissa), and her nephew Fr. William Benedetto of NJ. Also surviving her are her sisters, Lorraine Benedetto (nee Vanna), Deborah Vanna Goscenski and her fellow "prickly pear, brother-in-law Robert Goscenski.
Sharon also has extended family in the United States and in the United Kingdom, who all loved her very much.
Lastly, she is survived by her fur family of her dog Coco and her beloved cats Xena, Gabby and Alayla.
Born May 25, 1953, in Newark, NJ, the second of 4 girls, Sharon was a tomboy as a young girl and later became a twirler in elementary school and played the clarinet in the High School Band as well as being a flag majorette.
She was a mentor and teacher to her sisters, always being there to encourage them to try new activities and cheer them on, whether it be swimming, ice skating, acrobatics or cheerleading. If she loved you, she was your biggest cheerleader and she used to say there was no such word as can’t!
Sharon and Durwood married and had 2 children and lived in Kearny, NJ until they decided to relocate to Roswell, Georgia where she raised her 2 children Melanie and Melissa and was also moved by fate and instant love from a picture to adopt her son Sean whom she loved and raised as her own.
She graduated from Chattahoochee Technical College with an Associate’s Degree in computer programming and worked for Coca- Cola as one of the few female programmers and eventually landed at PRG Schultz where she excelled as a programmer until her retirement.
She also realized her dream of opening a Pizzeria and she developed her recipe based on our childhood experiences of working in Barney’s Pizzeria in Newark, NJ. She labored and tested her dough recipe relentlessly until she perfected it and opened Villa Pizza in Social Circle. The food was incomparable, and her regular customers loved her pizza.
Sharon’s favorite place in the world was in London, England, which she visited many times over the years, visiting her Mom’s family as often as she could. One of the proudest moments of her life was when she was granted her dual citizenship from the United Kingdom at the British Consulate in Atlanta, Georgia.
Sharon will be missed so much during the holidays where she made the most delicious food and desserts, especially her famous cheesecake. She was the glue in our family, and she never failed to make sure we gathered and kept the family traditions that her Mom established and kept no matter what.
She was treasured, relied upon, loved and will be missed more than words can express!
Her final wish was to be cremated and her ashes spread in her favorite places in The United Kingdom where some of her best memories were made and where her Mother was raised.
A memorial gathering is being planned for her family and her close friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Walton County, Georgia: https://humanewalton.org/Donate
