A native and lifelong resident of Athens, Mrs. Garrison was the daughter of the late Herbert Leon Kinman and Mona Elizabeth Ayers Kinman. She was a graduate of Athens High School and co-owned and operated Garrison Home Service Gallery and worked as a beautician at Peggy’s Beauty Shop in Five Points. A member of the Baptist faith, Mrs. Garrison was a devout Bible and devotional reader and enjoyed cooking, canning and gardening.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Garrison; brothers: Sonny Kinman, Ronny Kinman and Mike Kinman; and a sister, Elwanda Westervelt.
Survivors include children: Meg Whatley of Danielsville, Robbie Garrison (Michelle) of Watkinsville and Katie Hudson (Brad) of Carlton; grandchildren: Casey Garrison, Presley Hudson, Peyton Hudson, Huck Hudson; and great-grandchildren: Isabella Garrison and Camber Garrison.
A gathering of family and friends will be held 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Sunday, February 16, 2025, in Bernstein Funeral Home, immediately followed by a funeral service in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park.
