In Sylvia’s own words:
“I am blessed.
I have known the love of Hutch, a good and gentle man.
I love and have been loved by sons, grandsons, mother, brother, sister, nieces, and nephews.
My passion is learning with students, and I have enjoyed decades of teaching young people from pre-school to graduate school.
I, and many friends regularly tell one another of our affection and respect for one another.
I love two institutions of higher education and have been able to contribute to both Young Harris College and The University of Georgia in various ways.
Please know that I am grateful for all life's gifts. God is good and I am blessed.”
