Timothy Scott Marable

Timothy Scott Marable, 65, died May 16, 2026. A resident of Athens, Timothy was born December 20, 1960, and was a native of Fort Pierce, Florida, the son of the late Bill Zed Marable and Virginia Ramsey Marable.

Tim will be remembered for the steady devotion he showed to those he loved, and for the capable, hands-on way he moved through life. Whether working with wood as an incredibly talented woodworker and builder, shaping outdoor spaces as a very skilled landscaper, or setting out on the open road as an avid motorcycle rider, he brought care and confidence to what he did. His love for the outdoors was evident in the time he spent camping, caving, and enjoying nature in all its forms.

He also found camaraderie and enjoyment in the game of darts, where he was known as a very good player and a former member of the Athens Dart Club. There, he participated on a team called “The Orphans,” a connection that reflected the friendships he built through shared interests and good competition.

Above all, Tim was a great Dad who loved his family dearly. He is survived by his children, Elora Marable (Thomas Heffner) of Monroe, North Carolina, and Winter Marable of Dawsonville; his sister, Sherry McAdams (Shawn) of Flowery Branch; and one grandchild, Luna Pegram.
