

Born on March 6, 1980, in Harvey, Illinois, Todd was raised in St. John, Indiana, and attended Purdue University. He began his career with the Canadian National Railroad in Homewood, Illinois, before relocating to Athens, Georgia, in 2006. There, he worked for State Farm Insurance in Atlanta.
Todd is survived by his beloved wife, Terry W. Prendergast, and their two children, Jade Prendergast and Leo Laurel. He is also survived by his father, Tom Prendergast, of Athens; his sister, Lora, of Indiana; and his brother, Brian, of Illinois.
A lifelong fan of the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears, Todd found great joy in collecting and selling sports trading cards, a hobby that reflected his enthusiasm for sports and his appreciation for connecting with fellow collectors.
Todd will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his love of sports, and the many friendships he formed throughout his life. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
A Memorial Mass was held at The Catholic Center at the University of Georgia, 1344 S. Lumpkin St., Athens, on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at 10:00 am.
