

A native of Cornelia, GA, Mrs. Ellison was the daughter of the late James Archie and Bartie Griffin Galloway. She moved to Athens in 1932 and was married to the late Rev. Clark H. Ellison on December 3, 1978 after the death of his first wife, Annie Jo Whitmire on May 24, 1974.
Survivors include nephew, Edwin Ray Galloway Sr and wife, Ophelia and their children and grandchildren, Rev. Ray Galloway and wife, Barbara and Laura Kump and husband, Kirby; Miranda Hildebrand and husband, Justin, and Kale Kump and wife, Tabitha; nephew, Harry Galloway and wife, Pat and their son, George Galloway and wife, Claire; stepson, Billy Ellison and wife, Doris Jean; stepdaughter, Carol Austin and husband, Ray; step grandsons, Mark Ellison and wife, Alicia and Shane Bauer and wife, Lindsay; step granddaughters, Kimberly Myers and husband, Tim, Ashley Bays and husband, Phillip, and Molli Scarborough and husband, Chris.
A service of worship to celebrate the home going and resurrection of life in Jesus Christ of Viola Galloway Ellison will be held 3PM Sunday, March 30th in the chapel of Bernstein Funeral Home with Dr. Stewart Simms and Rev. Ray Galloway officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 2-3PM Sunday prior to the service.
