Virginia C. White, 88, formerly of Athens, GA passed away Monday, March 10, 2014 in Stockbridge, GA where she was residing.

A native of Moundville, AL, Mrs. White was the daughter of the late Andrew Rufus Coley and Lottis Jane Bibby Coley and was preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph A White. She was a volunteer at Athens Regional Medical Center and a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church of Athens.

Survivors include sons, Larry R. White and wife, Louise of Johnson City, TN and Robert C. White and wife, Laura of McDonough, GA; grandchildren, James C. White (Sissy), Amanda White Charlton (John) and Robert A. White; and great-grandchildren, Isaac Charlton, Ansley Charlton, Emma Charlton, Campbell White, Durham White, and Garrett White.

Funeral services will be held 2:30PM Thursday, March 13th at First Presbyterian Church of Athens with Dr. Glenn Doak officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service starting at 1:30PM in the Atrium at the church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 185 E. Hancock Ave, Athens, GA 30601 or to the Athens Regional Medical Center Volunteers, c/o Athens Regional Foundation, 1199 Prince Ave, Athens, GA 30606.
