Born in Gwinnett County, Mr. Chesser was the son of the late Otto Chesser and Christine Brown Chesser. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather who loved working in his yard and garden.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Chesser was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Chesser.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Beverly Bartenfeld Chesser of Watkinsville; children: Leigh Garrett of Duluth, Lisa Bennette of Jefferson and Jeffrey Chesser (Vonne) of Athens; sister, Brenda Jones (Bill) of Hoschton; three grandchildren: Jason Garrett, Jessica Garrett and Stancil Chesser; two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 6, at 2:00 p.m., at Bogart United Methodist Church, 1201 Atlanta Highway, Bogart.
